However if your boiler is old or uses a permanent pilot you should consider upgrading it for a new condensing boiler as this will save you money on fuel and help protect the environment.
The fault may lie in the heating system not the appliance and we fault diagnose and replace failed motorised valves, timeclocks, room thermostats, or leaking radiator valves where required.
Gas and oil appliances are inherently safe but depend upon regular servicing to ensure that their safety devices operate correctly and that the appliance is operating efficiently. We are also able to issue safety certificates which is a legal requirement for rented properties and are also a requirement for the home buyers pack to check that installations meet current regulations.
Manufacturers also recommend annual servicing and often forms part of their guarantee. Don't put family and your safety at risk from Carbon monoxide poisoning or dangerous incidents.
High efficiency condensing boilers can be easily fitted to most new and old heating systems. They have a larger, or second heat exchanger which recovers the heat which would have been lost up the flue. Older boilers waste valuable energy converting as little as 60% of your very expensive gas or oil into useful heat. With energy prices at record levels a new boiler will deliver substantial energy savings, with a quick payback on your investment.

Corrosion within central heating systems accounts for 90% of all system / boiler failures. We are able to offer power flushing which is recognized as the most efficient method of cleaning to restore the efficiency of the overall system, exceeding the requirements of BS:7593.
Power flushing machines use a high velocity, low pressure pump combined with a powerful chemical cleaner to break up and remove any sludge and limescale from radiators and pipework. A powerful magnetic filter removes all rust particles from the system. After treatment a corrosion inhibitor is added to the system to prevent future problems.
Power flushing is particularly recommended upon the installation of a new boiler as magnetite (black sludge) will damage the heat exchangers of modern condensing boilers substantially shortening their life.
We can supply and install both vented and unvented hot water storage.cylinders. Unvented cylinders are especially suited to houses with multiple bathrooms or houses that suffer with poor shower performance as they can provide large quantities of hot water at mains pressure without the need for additional pumps. They also do away with the need for a water storage tank in the loft.
We live in one of the hardest water areas in the UK. Water softeners are the most effective way of preventing limescale damage to appliances and bathroom sanitary ware. Modern water softeners have built in water meters so only regenerate when they actually need to, so they use considerably less water and salt than previous models. We also install mains water filters to improve the quality, taste and smell of your drinking water.
